As a road-warrior, here’s what I do when I travel. I bring along a USB Charging Hub. And if you think, such a thing would be expensive, you are wrong. You can put together a charging hub very affordably. Here’s what you need.

1x Standard Travel Power Adapter
Less than $10.00. Of course, you can get a Travel USB Power Adapter but that will cost you a little more. I chose this because you can use the travel adapter for other regular devices (like your laptop). If you have a Universal USB Power Adapter, then you won’t need the next item.

1x USB Wall Power Adapter
Less than $5.00. This will let you connect the power source to any standard USB Hub and turn that into a USB Charging Hub.

1x USB Car Charger Adapter (Optional)
Less than $10.00. This will be handy for those who plan to charge your devices or gadgets while driving.

1x 4-Port USB Hub
Less than $10.00. I think 4 to 8 Ports would be suffice. But if you don’t think so you can get a can any configuration that you find suitable. You can use this USB hub for connecting various devices to your laptop as well. So its dual use.

Multiple-Device Branch Connector (Optional)
Most of your devices would come with their individual USB charging cables. But if you don’t want the hassle you can just get a multiple-device branch (“sotong”) connector. Cost between $5.00 to $10.00.

USB Extension Cable (Detachable Tips)
Alternatively, you can get a USB cable with detachable tips to suit different devices (about $10.00).

Plastic Organizer Box
This plastic organizer from Daiso is only $2.00. It is nice and flat. Also, you can customize the compartment sizes to a certain extent so that you can organize the above stuffs nicely.
So there you have it... your "home-made" USB Charging Hub. You can now charge multiple devices using the USB Charging Hub.
