Hi frenz,
How often have you thank your lucky stars that you're born complete (as in without any disabilities)??? And how often have you spare a thought for how disable people go about their daily lives??? In our hustled and hurried world, do we often get so caught up with our own endeavours that we can't find the time to think that such unfortunate people co-exist in our world??? Well, let me just tell you that there's more to life than just chasing papers or racing up corporate ladders.
In our moments of glory, our moments of comfort, let's not forget that there are people that are less fortunate than us... people who need our help... (and they're not very far away.. right here)... Sure, everyone has their own problems to deal with.. and yes, many are finding it hard to cope with them as well. In times like that, had you ever wished that someone would just extend a hand to you? If so, would you like to be the one to make a difference to these disables?
There is no material incentives for lifting a hand to help. Perhaps you can't even find any reason to do so. But all I can say is... I feel great if I could make a difference to someone's life. You should too. Perhaps you don't agree with me... perhaps, you rather be blind to the sufferings of these less fortunate people... perhaps, you turn deaf when you hear their calls for help... or perhaps, you would just simply walk on by... But think again... What if one day you become one of them??? What if one day you're the one who's reaching out for help?? Could you then tell me how you would feel if everyone you call out to for help just simply walk on by??
Friends, I may not had the experience of being disable (thank God)... but I've been in dire straits before and I know what its like to be calling out to people for help and having them walk on by... it hurts...
I am no saint and life for me isn't all sunny, bright and gay for me as well... but there will always be room enough to give a little bit to thye less fortunate... however little that bit is... it'd make a difference to another fellow being...
We need your help and this is my call to you to lend a hand to these disable people... Its not gonna cost you an arm or a leg... just a little of your time... If you could just see how your little efforts would go a long way in helping these less fortunate people keep themselves alive or even perhaps, to realise their dreams (disable people have dreams too you know???)...
Of course, you can simply ignore this and walk on by... but you've gotta have a real hard heart to do that...
