Phantom & Desperado...

Hi Frenz...

Last nite, I got a little bored and a little restless... so I took a walk... I had a stroll thru Botanic Gardens and then out to Bukit Timah Road... as I passed Crown Centre where STOPOVER used to be... it sure brought back some memories... some very good ones and some painful ones too... for it was the birth of that place that used to be the signature of my glorious days and at the same time, along with the closure of it, my life fell apart...

Being already in a fairly dampened state, I can't help feeling low... I walked on... down King's Road and then thru Coronation Road West... and before I know it... I ended up at Holland Village... Determined not to get to bed with this foul mood, I popped into Wala Wala for a beer... sat at the bar... said "hi" to a few familiar faces and began to down my pitcher of beer...

Then I heard the introduction tune of the song, 'Desperado' and when song started, I sub- conciously sang along... the lyrics were just too familiar as it used to be one of my favourite songs... Geez... I tell you guys... I knew those lyrics all these years... but they didn't struck me until last nite... and you know what?? When I left Wala Wala, I had the feeling of being re-born... I sure wanna move on from now... and for all you souls out there who had been sitting and waiting (for the rite job... the rite one... the rite whatever)... you should move on too... just as 'Desperado'... its not too late...
