Ask Phantom...

Hi guys,

After my article, "MP3s... Keeping CD Sound Quality" featured on "IT-torial" (June issue) on the ripping audio CD tracks to MP3s, I've got tonnes of emails asking more details on how to do it... I've also had lots of emails asking how to do video streaming on websites... hmm... didn't know I have that many web-designer friends or rather, I didn't know that there'd be so many people interested... hehehehe... OK then... for all novices that didn't understand what ripping is all about, this is what it is.

Those tracks on CDs are raw CDDA (CD Digital Audio) data. But before you can convert your favourite songs into MP3s, you must first convert this raw CDDA data into WAV files. This process is called RIPPING... I shall not try to explain the process of RIPPING as it is very technical and many of you here would be lost. Instead, I'll just give you a FREE ready-made software that will help you with the ripping. CLICK HERE to download "Jill, The Ripper"... This software is easy to use and it can convert CD tracks directly into MP3s (don't need to convert CDDA data to WAV files and from WAV files to MP3s)..

Hmmm... maybe I can set up a school and run short courses on Multi Media related topics... erm... nope... too costly... gotta have classrooms, furniture, computers, etc... let's see... run it online via interactive Video Conference??? on KPNN???... hahaha... ok for those business-minded people who thinks that this will work, I can help you realise this dream... Well, I've successfully made LIVE net-broadcasts of pool tournaments via the internet... so why not net-broadcast tutorials??? With lower costs, it will benefit eager-learning individuals to pick up such skills for peanuts... chow-on-it...
