Iggi has a baby brother...

Isaiah has arrived. Carol was butchered (Caesarian) and out he came... one month pre-mature...
Below are Isaiah's birth data (for all those who wish to buy 4-D):-

Date of Birth:
2 August 2005 (Iggi is 2 September 1997.. exactly 7yrs 11 months difference)

Weight:
2.54 kg (pretty big for a pre-matured baby)

Isaiah looked so much like Iggi.. ma-cham photo-copy... Will post their photos up on KPNN's Official Website.. then you guys be the judge...

Isaiah seems healthy though doctors are doing some blood tests to see if Carol's thyroid and heart problem were inheirited or affected him. He is doing well, otherwise.

Carol had a hard delivery. She was in the surgery room for a quite a few hours. She went in about 9.30pm and didn't come out till about 4am (though Isaiah was out pretty quick at 11:14pm). I guess complications came from her heart. She was in intensive care after the surgery and is recuperating now in a normal ward. She will be there for a quite while more. Other than the high blood pressure, her immobility and pain from the sugical wound, she is ok. For those who wanna visit her and take a peek at little Isaiah, you may go to the Singapore General Hospital, Blk 5, Level 3, Ward 53, Room 22.

Iggi called on Monday but he missed the good news. Iggi is having his summer holidays in UK now. His school results were quite good and I'm really proud of him. Click here to see his results [links will be uploaded soon.. didn't have time to scan the report card yet]... I've sent him an extra $100 this month so that he can go for some movies during his summer holidays.

Next month is Iggi's birthday (2 Sept). I asked him what he wants and he initially wanted a bicycle. Then, he must have figured that it would be hard for me to send it over and it would cost a bomb as well. So he said he'd tell me later (see, he's so sensible... right?).. I then told him that instead of buying what he wants and waste the postage sending it over, I would rather save the postage wire him more money instead so that he will have more money to buy whatever he wants. I will sending him $200 on top of his usual allowance when I get my pay-cheque at the end of the month. This month too taxed for me to squeeze out anything else already.

Though its sad that Iggi's not here to share the joy of Isaiah's coming, I'm sure Isaiah will "feel" his presence. We've also talked about the new flat and Iggi wants me to keep his room bare at the moment. He wants to choose the furniture and even the colour of his room when he comes back in December for his X'mas holidays. Well, Iggi will always have his place here with us even when he is so far away.

My new flat is undergoing renovation right now and I hope that it can be completed by end August (Antz.. *wink*). Having lots of budget constraints (very big-time constraints)... So my new place will probably have a VERY VERY minimalistic feel. So far, I've only gotten the flooring, lightings, plumbling, some kitchen appliances settled. Alderene has agreed to help with the kitchen cabinets and perhaps, the master bedroom wardrobes (see how the costing & financing comes along first). Carol managed to coax her sister to sponsor the Air-Conditioning for the whole flat. She got quite a good deal. 4xSingle Split (Fujiaire) and 1xVertical Window Unit (Carrier) for only $2,680 nett (inclusive of full installation & GST). The bulk of the furnishings, furniture and appliances is still a financial headache. Any sponsors? hehehe...

After that, I will send an invite to all of you for my house-warming cum "muah-guek" (Isaiah's full month). I will then whip up a feast for you guys. Yes, I know its been a long long time since you guys last savoured my culinary skills. So, be patient ok? Be patient....

Well, so much for the update from me. Before I sign off, I'd leave you guys with my usual words of wisdom.... "Life should be qualitative, not quantitative... I may not have much now (in terms of material & financial), but at least I still have my parents with me (still have time to do my filial piety duties)... I've very supportive siblings... a loving wife... two beautiful sons... a caring boss... wonderful colleagues (past and present) and a bunch of die-hard pals like ALL of you... So... what else can I ask for? Be contented... and life will be pleasant... take your time to enjoy all the beautiful things that God has created for us... and cherish every moment with your loved ones while you can... Love unconditionally and forgive generously... Soon you'll realise that life isn't that bad afterall....
