Today, the Phantom got an email from his Official Assignee.. It had been more than 3 yrs since he had been declared a bankrupt... and today, his Official Assignee has finally processed her recommendation for him to be discharged from bankruptcy by way of "Discharge by Certificate of the Official Assignee"... This process will take between 3 to 6 months...
I can't tell you how overwhelmed the Phantom was... so overwhelmed that his tears just fell like rain... I guess, nobody could understand what it is like to be able to see light at the end of the tunnel...
Having been through hell for the past few years, this is indeed the best Christmas gift the Phantom ever got... All I can say is, there's always hope if you believe in it... It was with grit and perserverance that the Phantom held on to that thin line of hope for all these years... never letting go... never losing sight of hope...
True, the Phantom still won't be able to regain the past glories that he once had... but at least, he had bottom out... It will be a long road ahead... but at least he is moving forward... slowly but surely, the Phantom will strive on... taking on small accomplishments a step at a time... making small progresses a little by little... it's with these small advancements that will lead the Phantom to greater heights...
And even if the Phantom couldn't climb to the altitude where he used to dwell eventually, he'd still be happy that he made it to however far his legs took him...
I'm still proud of the Phantom nonetheless... I am proud that the Phantom had been able to take ownership of his set-backs and face it... I'm proud that despite the raging storms that he weathered, he had never lost faith in himself and the things that he believed in... I am proud that he never gave up despite all the odds that were against him... and I'm sure everyone of you here will be as well...
Of course, the Phantom wouldn't had made it this far if not for you guys nudging him on whenever he stopped... lending him a hand each time he fall... believing in him when he had doubts... The Phantom says "THANKS"... he said he wouldn't had made it if not for the love that you guys showered upon him... he's still one lucky bastard despite all the misfortunes that he went thru... The phantom said, "I'm so lucky to have pals and loved ones like you guys... that's truly a blessing... Love you all... and Merry Christmas..."
