The internet has indeed made this world so much smaller. With bandwidth becoming more affordable now and with IM softwares getting better, you can be virtually catching up with loved ones from any corner of the world.
As you know, Iggi is in UK and I'm in Singapore. But we talk so often over Yahoo (voice and video) that we sometimes forget that we are thousands of miles apart. We played chess, checkers, and other Yahoo games while we talked over voice & video. This week alone, I had been online with him every day. He got to see and talk to his brother (Isaiah) and both of them had a great time.
Gone are the days where I need to spend a fortune talking to him over the phone. On Yahoo (or other IM's) its not only free but you get a lot more with videos and games. As internet bandwidth gets better and better, there can be more that we can look forward to.
I'd like to share with you this drawing that Iggi did on Yahoo Messenger's Doodle while we were chatting (video & voice) and playing checkers. I like it so much that I made an electronic print of it for keeps. It is about his dream holiday. I hope Iggi, Izzi, Carol & I may meet half-way in the Mediterranean one day to spend a vacation as describe by Iggi in his drawing.
