Well, 2003 has come to an end... and in a mere few hours, 2004 will be arriving... While we await the new year, there are lots to wish for and lots to reconcile with... As we rush thru the final minutes to close 2003, we may find that there's just not enough time left... Frantic and anxious, we worry ourselves sick... Well, don't worry about not being able to get EVERYTHING done by today... that is why in accounting procedures, we have Balance C/F; Provision for Transitional Transactions, etc... etc...
Life is an ongoing race... whether u have a closure on your past or not... life goes on... the only difference is, when you have a closure, u move on... if u don't, its like a bug... it sticks with u until u get a closure... Sometimes getting a closure is not easy... especially when its something that weighs a lot in your life... its ok... give it time and let it heal...
The most important thing is to know how to deal with your "outstanding balances".... like a string debts, u'd just have to know how to handle it and sort them out before they crush u... so... don't be too hard on yourself...
Take a break.... take time off to go home to your family and friends and enjoy your New Year... when tomorrow comes, tomorrow will take care of itself... u have too much today that u can already handle... wrecking your minds over what's to come doesn't help solve anything, so why bother...
Me??? Well... I'm all numb to all these by now... and u know what??? I'm so much wiser now... So what if 2003 had been a bad year... so what if 2004 looks bleak.... Rain or shine, it'll pass... its just how we choose to survive it....
Ants work themselves sick to gather all that they can before the storm (sometimes more than they ever need)... the snakes? they laze around, sleep and does nothing till the storm comes and many die without surviving the cold winter... the beavers??? well... they just gather just enough... just what they need to survive the storm and have fun all summer... and when it turn out that what they gathered, isn't enough, they'd just make do and struggle thru the whole winter (no matter how tough it is).... Well, winter is almost over... what are u????
Are u the ant that is safe and sound but still worried how long will this winter last or are u still boggling over whatever u've gathered is enough to last u??? Or are u the snake that is sleeping thru the cold and weariness of the storm... well, for me, I'd guess I'll try to be like the beavers... life goes on no matter what... when winter is here and if I don't have enough, I'll just struggle but never give up... When the sun comes up again, I'll take time to take stock of what makes my life great... my loved ones, the things I wanna do, etc.. etc... and then I plot the path for which I wanna head...
So hang loose for now.... go out... party... and have a great time... its New Year's Eve... deal with your problems next year... u've worried enough for now...
