Goodbye 165 Sqn...

The once elite 165 Squadron will soon be history (so the rumour goes)... after guarding the Singapore skies for 20 yrs... after proven its worth in thousands of exercises local and overseas... after many batches of many proud men of this very elite unit gave the best years of their lives... the RAPIER will soon retire....

This shall be a very sad moment for those whom had served under the wings of this squadron... and as the colors of this squadron fly its last days... we herewith raise our hands to salute this squadron, the weapons, the officers and men of 165 Squadron with due honour....

Below is the link to "Charlie Flight - 12"s website (Charlie-12 is the last batch of active men commissioned under 165 Sqn).... For those who wish to know why 165 Sqn is an elite unit... or for those whom used to serve with the Phantom on "Bravo Flight - 6" (Pioneer Bravo Flight) and who wanna re-live those glorious days, go to http://www.singaporerapier.com
so long Rapier... happy retirement... or click on KPNN's Photo Gallery for Bravo 6's photos.

"Salute... Rapier" (Present Arms).....

Callsign: Phantom...
Flight Sergeant, Fire Unit VI (1983 - 1986)
BRAVO FLIGHT, 165 SQUADRON
Republic of Singapore Air Force
aka EDiToR, K.P.N.N.
